With the following data protection information, we, the Foundation for the Sorbian People, Postplatz 2, 02625 Bautzen, as the responsible party within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (DS-GVO), explain which personal data we process when you visit our website and use our online services. We would like to point out that, by default, all data transmissions in connection with our website are made via an encrypted connection.

We reserve the right to amend our data protection information from time to time so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to reflect changes in our services. Logging and creation of log files

When our website is accessed, a number of technical data are logged. This general data and information is stored in the server’s log files. Your (partially) anonymised IP address, browser type and version, the operating system used, the host name of the accessing computer, the referrer URL and the date and time of the server request are recorded in a log file. The processing of the personal data is carried out for the provision of the website as well as for the elimination of errors and the clarification of acts of abuse or fraud on the basis of a legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f DS-GVO. The deletion of the log files takes place after seven days.

Use of cookies

We use cookies on our website. Cookies enable us to optimise the information and offers on our website in the interests of the user. Cookies enable us to recognise the users of our website. The purpose of this recognition is to make it easier for users to use our website.. When accessing our website, only technically necessary session cookies are used on the basis of the legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f DS-GVO.   • LinkFire, Linkfire ApS – Music distribution analysis tool

On the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a DS-GVO, we use the music distribution analysis tool “LinkFire”. This makes it possible to display individual musical works from different online platforms by means of individual links. In addition, we can see the actions of users after they have clicked on such a link. However, this is exclusively statistical data which has no personal reference whatsoever. We process this information as long as it is necessary for the fulfilment of the above-mentioned purposes. If the data is no longer required for the fulfilment of the purposes, it is regularly deleted, unless its further pro-cessing for a limited period is necessary (intervention of retention periods).

Data processing is generally carried out on Linkfire’s servers in Denmark. However, data transfer to other Linkfire ApS affiliated companies outside the EU / EEA cannot be ruled out, so that your declaration of consent expressly extends to data transfer and processing by other Linkfire ApS group compa-nies worldwide. In this regard, we would like to expressly point out any risks, for example the more difficult enforcement of data protection rights.

On the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a DS-GVO, we integrate our content from the YouTube video platform of Google Ireland Limited (“Google”) to pre-sent our activities in an appealing manner. The data is primarily processed on servers within the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA). However, it is not possible to exclude the possibility of data being transferred to other companies affiliated with Google Ireland Limited outside the EU / EEA, so that your declaration of consent also expressly extends to the trans-fer and processing of data by other global group companies of Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC. In this regard, we would like to expressly point out any risks, for example the more difficult enforcement of data protection rights.

By displaying the video content, the user’s IP address and other browser-related information is transmitted to Google. By embedding the videos in the extended data protection mode, no further personal data is processed. Only when the video is clicked on for viewing is additional information transmitted to Google so that the video content can be displayed. If you are logged in as a YouTube user, Google will assign this information to your personal user account.

  • Matomo – Web analysis

On the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a DS-GVO, we use the web analysis service Matomo to improve our website..

In order to implement a data protection-friendly application of the analysis, the open source software Matomo is operated on the servers of the responsible body or the hoster and without the use of Cookies. The recognition of returning visitors to our website is carried out by means of a so-called digital fingerprint, which is only stored in anonymised form. In addition, user movements are processed in anonymised form with the aid of IP addresses with user settings on the browser side, so that it is not possible for us to draw conclusions about the identity of individual visitors to our website. n this specific case, anonymisation is achieved by deleting the last two octets (bytes) of the IP addresses. The information stored in this way is kept for a period of 72 months.

Contact form

Our website contains a contact form which can be used to contact us electronically. When using the contact form, we process the personal data provided by you, in particular the name, the e-mail address and your expressed concern, in order to clarify your request. The processing of the aforementioned personal data is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a DS-GVO.

The personal data you provide will be treated confidentially, will only be used to process your request and will not be passed on to third parties unless this is necessary in individual cases due to the nature of your request. The deletion of the personal data takes place after the final clarification of your request or due to a revocation by you, insofar as no legal retention periods oppose a deletion.

Use of service providers for the provision of the website

In order to provide the website and its content, we use service providers who process personal data on behalf of the Foundation for the Sorbian People or through whom access to personal data cannot be excluded. We have concluded contracts for commissioned processing with all of these service providers in accordance with Art. 28 DS-GVO. This applies in particular to the service provided by NetworkInvest (hosting).

Data subjects’ rights and contact with the data protection officer

Data subjects may at any time request information about the personal data concerning them and, if necessary, request rectification or deletion or restriction of processing, or object to processing. They also have the right to data portability. Furthermore, if the data processing is carried out on the basis of consent, this can be revoked at any time for the future.
